I doubt I would even throw away the extras but getting them out of the main reference area would be a big help. The more control the program offers for filters would probably be nice. If you can point me anything at all right now, just cleaning out the duplicated PST files would be a huge help. Years ago I used to have a program i used a lot on MP3's and Photos but don t remember the name and it may not even be Windows 8 compatible. The ability to scan for duplicates exceeding 500MB might be a good start. This has been a work in progress for some time and and as it all starts getting into a single location i am finding this more and more often. Some of these files are backup copies of PST files over 5GB in size that I may have 3 or 4 copies of. I can't risk running a mass "delete all but one copy"(though i wold like to) and am looking for the best way to scan this huge repository maybe in small chunks the first time to try to remove as many as i can. There are probably 10 copies of the exact same file in all in different places. Version reviewed: 1.2.In trying to create an all encompassing archive of all the company documents, i have ended up with an extremely bloated folder containing more redundant info than anything else. In conclusion: if you would like an application which can clean-up your duplicate files, then Tidy Up! is a strong option. Pluses: it provides you the possibility to clean-up duplicate files from your drives it's very configurable is stable and fast. The result was very good, and the application didn't get stuck. I have tested this application using all the mounted drives, and the Local Area Network drives. The speed and the stability of the application are quite good, even if you use lots of options with large quantities of data. The files and packages list also provides an option which, when selected, can find zero-length files. The common attributes list gives you the possibility to use options like: file name, modification date, creation date while the files/packages options allows you to use options like: item type, extension, item's creator, total item's size, or content of Files Options. It also provides you a list of attributes and files/packages options that you must check in order to find the duplicate files.

The interface allows you to quickly select drives or directories that would be scanned for duplicate files.

However, you get quicker access to some of the functions. Unlike dupeGuru, Tidy Up! provides most of its functionality from the user interface, thus the GUI (Graphical User Interface) is more loaded. The application does the same job as dupeGuru, but it has pluses that include more advanced options, speed and stability. Tidy Up! is a file utility that can search, display and delete the duplicate files from your hard drive.
